Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026. Effective date: 4 August 2026.
This policy explains how Yoga.com handles "consumer health data" as defined by the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada Senate Bill 370. It supplements our main Privacy Policy. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Inter Media Digital Marketing LLC, the company that operates Yoga.com, and "you" means anyone who uses the site. The appeal and Attorney General routes described below are the rights Washington and Nevada law give their residents; the rest of this policy applies to everyone.
The short version
The only health-adjacent information we hold is what members choose to type into two features: the practice log and conversations with Maya, our AI companion. We use it only to run those features for you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we delete it when you ask.
What consumer health data we collect
If you join Yoga Club, two features can involve information about your physical wellness:
- Practice log. Entries you record about your own yoga sessions: the date, how long you practiced, the style, and any optional notes you add about your physical practice.
- Maya conversations. Wellness-related content you choose to share while chatting with Maya, for example mentioning a stiff back or a goal for your practice.
What we do not collect. We do not collect medical records, diagnoses, biometric data, or precise location data. Maya is a companion, not a clinician, so please do not share medical details you would not want stored; our Health & Safety Disclaimer says more about that.
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We collect and use this data for one purpose: to provide the features you asked for. Practice-log entries exist so we can show your own log back to you. Maya conversations are kept so your chats have continuity and Maya can remember what you told her. We do not use this data for advertising or profiling, and there is no secondary use. Our legal basis is that this collection is necessary to provide a product or service you requested.
Where it comes from
One source: you. Every practice-log entry and every Maya message is something you typed yourself. We do not buy, infer, or derive consumer health data from anywhere else.
Who can see it
We do not share consumer health data for advertising, and we do not share it with affiliates for marketing. We do not sell it. The only disclosure is to the service providers that host and process our data under contract - today that means Google Cloud Platform, in the United States, where the site runs - and those contracts limit them to doing that work for us. Beyond that, we would disclose data only if the law required it.
Your rights
- Access. You can ask us to confirm whether we collect consumer health data about you, get a copy of it, and get a list of everyone we have shared it with (today, only the service providers named above).
- Withdraw consent. You can stop using the practice log or Maya at any time, and you can tell us to stop processing what you already shared.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete your consumer health data. We delete it from our active systems and instruct our service providers to delete it too. Copies held in routine backups are purged when those backups cycle out on their normal schedule.
- Non-discrimination. We will not deny you the site, charge you more, or give you a worse experience because you exercised any of these rights.
How to exercise these rights
Email info@yoga.com from the email address on your Yoga Club account. That is how we verify the request is really yours; we will not ask you for extra documents. We respond within 45 days, and if a request is unusually complex we may take one further 45-day extension and will tell you why.
Appeals
If we decline your request and you disagree, reply to our decision email and say you want to appeal. We will take a fresh look and answer your appeal in writing within 45 days, explaining what we decided and why.
If you are still unsatisfied, Washington residents may raise the matter with the Washington State Attorney General, and Nevada residents may contact the Nevada Attorney General. If we deny your appeal, our written answer will include those contact details.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle consumer health data, for example if a new feature touches wellness information, we will update this policy and the date at the top, so this page is always the current description of what we do.
