Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect the same in return. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c), a copyright owner or an agent acting on their behalf may send us a takedown notice through the designated agent below. As an online service provider we rely on the "safe harbor" provisions of the DMCA.

Notice of infringement

To submit a good-faith claim, your notice must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act for the owner;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  • Identification of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it - please include the URL of the page in question;
  • Your name, postal address, email address and telephone number;
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Title 17 USC §512(f) provides for civil damages, including costs and attorney fees, against anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents information in a notice under §512(c)(3). We may pass the identity and content of a claim to the person who posted the material; by submitting a claim you accept that.

Counter-notification

If material you posted was removed following a claim, you may send our designated agent a counter-notification under 17 USC §512(g)(3) containing: your physical or electronic signature; a description of the removed material and where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice. If a counter-notification is received, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

We take copyright seriously. Where appropriate, we will terminate the access of users who repeatedly infringe.
