This bench is also called the Simhasana Bench but is most commonly used in a restorative supine position and as specific therapy for heart patients. It opens the chest and allows the shoulders to fall back creating more space for the heart to beat and the lungs to breath. Women who are menstruating or pregnant may find use with this prop as well because it offers gentle support for restorative yoga. Made from 4" thick solid maple.
